4th grade works in progress :)
Prompts for students on the Promethean board:
REMEMBER: You can always use your own painting style!!
Ask yourself:
- How can I blend my main color with white?
- How is my background going to appear behind my bowl/form?
- How is painting on cardboard different than other surfaces we have painted on?
- Why do you think artists paint on different surfaces?
- How am I being an art inquirer?
- How am I being reflective?

Hello Fall!
Why is it the best time of year you ask? Because 2nd grade had a blast making these happy pumpkins that each show a little bit of their personality and personal painting techniques. Also because 5th grade experimented with water soluble markers below and look what we came up with....
Art in the Media Center!
7th graders recently reflected about how they could represent the Rogers International School terrapins & their environment through this collaborative effort to be displayed in the media center! If you get the chance, don't forget to check out Mrs. Ferrante's awesome "poppies" near Ms. Bartley's desk in the media center as well, they are fabulous! Her 8th graders made the poppies for remembrance day and made connections to what they are currently reading, the Wizard of Oz.
Phases of the Moon
4th graders created these lovely moon phases as a way to creatively express what they inquired and learned about throughout their "Motions of the Ocean" unit. Each student was asked to be creative and add something different of their choice, such as an astronaut or cow (above), to give their project personality and style.
"Because I'm happy!"
Kindergarten learned all about lines of design and watercolor painting techniques before we turned them into windsocks.
